Inn Executive Chef Jim McCarthy & Market Gardener Josh Carter Our 7-acre mixed vegetable garden produces many organic vegetables highlighted at our restaurant at The Inn at Shelburne Farms. It is also a classroom for educating about food systems, especially for summer campers.

Our organic growing practices sustain healthy, fertile soil.

The Market Garden has supplied flowers and vegetables to the farm for more than a century. Its original greenhouses (no longer standing) grew grapes, roses, palms and other exotic flowers and plants to decorate Shelburne House.
