The information below is based on how the program has operated in the past.
Education internships are designed for students to earn college credit through their institutions while working and learning at Shelburne Farms. Interns have opportunities to observe and teach collaboratively as part of our summer camp, adventures preschool, and school programs team working with youth ages 3 - 17.
Fall and spring internships can be full- or part-time during the academic year. Summer interships are only full-time positions.
Shelburne Farms is committed to fostering a culturally aware learning community that is open to multiple perspectives.
NOTE: Housing and payment are not provided. This is not an employment agreement, and Shelburne Farms does not provide compensation, reimbursement, Workers Compensation, or Health Care coverage for this position.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Internship candidates must be motivated by a strong desire to work with children in an outdoor setting in all weather conditions. Enthusiasm and flexibility are required! Fall and spring semester interns must be available 8 am - 2 pm twice per week for school programs, or once per week with weekend availability for early childhood programs.
Summer interns must be available for full 40-hour weeks (Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm). Summer Camps run from mid-June through August.
