Burlington Ensemble - A Benefit Concert for Vermont FEED

At this final “STARRY  NIGHT” concert by Vermont-based Burlington Ensemble, stars will abound!  The program features a concerto for bass by Bottesini, and music by film composer Bernard Hermann (noted composer of Psycho, North by Northwest, etc.), and the wild and infamous Mendelssohn Octet. All concerts benefit Vermont FEED, a statewide Farm to School program that provides food, farming, and nutrition education programs in classrooms, cafeterias, and communitiies. (Shelburne Farms is a partner). 

2013 Festival Artists performing at Shelburne Farms include Sofia Hirsch (violin and Burlington Ensemble Co-Artistic Director), Michael Dabroski (violin and Burlington Ensemble Co-Artistic Director), Rachel Lee (violin), Zoya Tsvetkova (violin), Letitia Quante (vioin), Elizabeth Reid (viola), Peter Sulski (viola), Ariana Falk (cello), John Dunlop (cello), Rachel Calin (double bass), Evan Premo (double bass), David Kaplan (piano) and Elizabeth Metcalfe (harpsichord).
