Lake Champlain Watercolor Workshop with the Shelburne Craft School
Join watercolor artist Joel Popadics for five days of painting, learning, and being inspired by the beautiful landscapes of Shelburne Farms. You'll stay on Lake Champlain and eat food produced right here at the Farm. Each day, there will be two brief painting demonstrations, with topics ranging from painting cows to handling the summer greens and Lake Champlain’s light. Following the demonstrations, you will have the opportunity to paint and apply the concepts presented. Individual instruction will be provided all day. Participants should plan on making at least two sketches a day. Materials list will be provided.

There are six bedrooms with two beds each. A fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room. The house is located directly on Lake Champlain and has a beach area.
“I cannot imagine a more picturesque setting for a Watercolor Workshop - undulating pastures lined with magnificent trees, rimmed by Lake Champlaine with waves crashing on rocks, distant hills layering into the sky all with those lovely Brown Swiss cows pouring over the hills and winding through the trees.” Allison Hosford, 2013 Workshop participant
Instructor: Joel Popadics. Joel’s paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums across the United States, including the National Academy of Art and Design in New York; the Bergen Museum of Art and Science in Paramus, NJ; Art of the Sea Galleries in Rockland, Maine; the Place St. Charles Gallery in New Orleans; and the San Francisco Academy of Art in San Francisco.
