The Children's Farmyard offers children and parents a clean, safe, friendly and informative experience with agriculture and natural resources.

Through a variety of scheduled farmyard activities focusing on caring for typical farm animals, the farmyard gives visitors a personal connection to agriculture that they may not otherwise have. A staff of trained educators and volunteers is on-hand to answer any questions and help visitors explore the farm.

The Children's Farmyard is in the south wing of the Farm Barn and is easily reached along the Walking Trails. Visitors may also take a tractor driven hay ride from the Welcome Center that leaves every half hour. It has been in operation since 1991.
