Shelburne Farms Cultivating a Conservation Ethic Education Program

The Adventures Preschool Program at Shelburne Farms is filled with age appropriate, hands-on activities that encourage a child's natural curiosity and increases awareness and appreciation of the world around us.  We believe that a conservation ethic begins at an early age with outdoor experiences.  We spend time outside with our children each day--exploring in the woods, visiting the farm animals, harvesting in the garden and hiking around the farm. We provide a safe and positive environment for children to explore and learn about nature and agriculture so they will continue to explore and spend time outside.  We hope that these experiences continue throughout their lives and that they always appreciate and care for the world around them.
