Shelburne Farms offers several Work and Learn Opportunities:
- Apprenticeships provide post-college individuals with practical experience and
skill development in the fields of environmental and agricultural
education, interpretation, and organic gardening. Apprentices
work on a full time, temporary basis (one or two seasons), receive
a living expense reimbursement and are provided housing on site.
- Internships are designed to allow an individual to receive college credit through their institution while working and learning at Shelburne
Farms. An internship can be full- or part-time, lasting for a season
or part of a season. Housing and reimbursement not provided.
- The
Stewards in Training program is a Work and Learn Opportunity
for high school students ages 15-17. SITs work and learn alongside
