Information Technology Internship: Intranet Website Project

This project entails the research, design and implementation of an internal website (intranet) for use by Shelburne Farms and its employees. The general purpose of the site is to facilitate the dissemination of internal farm information to the farm's employees. The exact makeup of the resources and capabilities of the site would be determined in the needs assessment stage of the project.

The intern should have the skills to interview key stakeholders at the Farm, translate this information into a requirement document, and implement the project to the degree that time allows. Candidates must have knowledge or interest in developing these skills: strong verbal and written communication website development website content management software Microsoft Products, such as Internet Information Server, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Office 2003, SQL, etc.
