  • Delightful breakfast at Inn

The buttermilk pancakes were unbelievable! My husband and I are still talking about them weeks later and hoping that we'll be able to make a return trip to your farm in the near future for another delightful breakfast!

  • A location that contributes to the greater good

We agreed we wanted the wedding to feel timeless. We also wanted the beauty of Shelburne Farms to be the main attraction! When you chose to get married in such a majestic place, you have to be careful to not overshadow it. We wanted everyone to be comfortable and just enjoy the weekend – a little mini vacation – and we really wanted guests to fall in love with the location, and come back to visit the farm. It was also very important to both of us to chose a location that contributed to the greater good: the farm is a nonprofit and the celebrations they host are a major contributor to the farm being able to continue their environmental and educational programs.

  • Dinner at the Inn

Thank you for the tastiest lamb I've ever had! The lamb entree on 8/6/14 was delicious and had just the right combination of textures between meat and veg. Great sausage, too. Kudos! A suggestion---season the meat with just a touch more salt before you send it out. Americans are salt-phobic in a way most other countries aren't, I know. But I suspect you're aiming for "perfectly seasoned in the kitchen so the diner needn't add anything." That's my goal, anyway, when I entertain. But there just wasn't enough salt on it, and shaking on big grains at the table is not the same thing. Besides, there are no salt shakers on the tables. Just a touch more would really make the lamb sing. Thanks again for a wonderful meal.

  • A huge thanks to Shelburne Farms for helping us make the Outreach for Earth Stewardship event possible. Much of the magic that day was the beauty and support we received from the Shelburne Farms location/staff.

  • We are Visiting Again!

Breathtaking views! Utterly calm and serene. The animals at the farm are so clean, happy and well looked after. The Farm Cart has some great choices, tried their Pesto Veggie sandwich - delicious! Loved the quaint little bakery. The cheese making was interesting, a nice worker came out to explain how each batch is tested for aging, and explained that if numbers are off, it is aged for 6 months, or smoked. The weather. Oh! The weather was perfecto blended with happiness!! We are visiting again :-)

  • A Great Family Program!

We came for the Garden Tea Party recently and it was amazing. The kids had a blast picking their own mint and lavender and making their own tea bags. And the tea party on the terrace was just wonderful, the program leaders were great with the kids and helped them learn a lot. Cannot wait till this comes around again we will definitely be signing up again :)

  • Bats in the Barn Family Program

Last year our family came to the Bats in the Barn program and it was one of the highlights of our summer. The slide show was informative and engaging - Barry did an amazing job providing so much information in a fun and totally kid-friendly way. We can't wait to come again this summer!

  • Amazing Stay

I had an absolutely amazing stay at Shelburne. There was no detail overlooked--perfect tour (including a chance to meet the cheesemaker--a rock star in my book.) The food is amazing, the rooms beautiful, the setting serene. If you are looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle and reconnect with what or who is important to you this is the perfect place. Friendly staff all around--no stuffed shirts here. Lovely, amazing and well worth it.
